That's basically what happened with ObamaCare.” The supposedly nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office was responsible for the bogus stats.
Rather than, for instance, cutting the deficit, ObamaCare raised the deficit. Then, when Republicans tried to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, the CBO, said that the number of uninsured Americans would increase by 22 million, a statistic that was also proved wrong.
