Conservatives Want Term Limits and Citizen’s Congress

Conservatives are strongly in favor of replacing the professional politicians in Congress with a citizen’s legislature through term limits, according to a poll conducted by The Conservative Caucus.  This change had the support of 65% of those who responded to the poll, while only 22% endorsed the current system of lifetime professional politicians.

There was 72% support for extending to seven years the time during which a former member is prohibited from lobbying his former colleagues.

The poll revealed a strong feeling that Congress and the Federal government have become too expensive, with 76% saying that the Federal government has become “too big and too rich” and 63% that Congressmen are paid too much.

The Conservative Caucus is a grassroots public policy action organization, formed in 1974.  It was active in defeating the SALT II Treaty, repealing the Catastrophic Coverage Act, blocking the Clinton health-care takeover, securing the impeachment of President Clinton by the House of Representatives, stopping amnesty for illegal aliens, persuading the House of Representatives to sue President Obama regarding ObamaCare, and promoting the confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh.

The Conservative Caucus is a public policy organization, contributions to which are not tax deductible. The IRS has determined TCC to be a 501(c)(4) organization, exempt from Federal income tax. TCC can receive corporate donations.
