To find what's important in a Washington Post story, alway look for what is buried on the inside page, somewhere in the middle. In this article, the Post reports that unaccompanied children coming across the border illegally "suffer horrible trauma on the journey to the United States." When they arrive, "they live with unfamiliar relatives who offer little support."
Of course, the Post makes sure to quote someone who says that opposing a substantial tax increase is proof of racism.
Perhaps the true racists are those who care so little about these children that they continue to urge the children to run the risk of coming here illegally.
