After eight years in which the Justice Department seemed to think its job was to leave the laws unenforced, but to write and enforce new laws of its own (such as allowing men in womens's locker rooms), Jeff Sessions arrived with an agenda of restoring its consitutional functions. As these former attorneys general point out, he did that very well and leaves his successor with an effective department.
